CARPINTERIA, Calif. - Barry K. Hoff, 37, formerly of Billings, passed away Jan. 2, 1992, due to complications of diabetes.

He was born Dec. 4, 1954, in Williston, N.D., a son of Vernon and Shirley Hoff.  He attended schools in Billings, graduating from Billings West High School in 1973.  He received his bachelor of arts degree from Pacific Lutheran University in 1977 and then moved to California to begin his career in graphic design.  He worked with several companies before he started his own business, Fine Arts, Etc. in Studio City, Calif.  He was a gifted artist and had a special fondness for small animals.  He was a member of Bel Air Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles.

Survivors who will miss him include his father and mother, Veronon and Shirley Hoff of Carpinteria, Calif.; two sisters, Dawn Lutton and Mrs. Scott (Debbie) Galles, both of Billings; two nephews, Dudley Lutton and Joel Galles; one niece, Kara Galles; his maternal grandmother, Mabel Holtz of Minot, N.D.; and many aunts and uncles.

Cremation has taken place in California.  The family will have a memorial service in Billings at a later date, with Smith Downtown Chapel in charge.
