Cindy Jansma Fowler, 47, left this world to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday afternoon, May 31, 2002, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends and staff from Hospice.

Cindy was born in Billings on Nov. 23, 1954, and was raised by her mother and father, Alvina and August "Augie" Jansma.

Cindy was all about life and happiness and everything it could hand her. She had an outlook on life that many take for granted and was beyond words. She was always upbeat, even to the end. She worked hard all her life doing numerous jobs and taking care of family and friends. She loved life and loved being with the ones that were dear to her. She was a true and loyal friend and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She loved animals, her church family, visiting with friends and shopping.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Don Fowler of Huntley-Worden; sons Quintin and Curtis Fowler of Long Beach, Calif. (formerly of Shepherd); mother and father, Alvina and August "Augie" Jansma of Billings; brothers Rick Jansma and wife Konnie of Billings, and Larry Jansma and wife Cathy of Cody, Wyo. She is also survived by her in-laws, Chuck and Helen Fowler of Huntley-Worden, and Frank and Agnes Sharpe of Hardin, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her infant son, Clayton Fowler, in 1990.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, at the Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary with interment in the Huntley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice, the Breast Cancer Foundation, or a Cancer Foundation of choice.

Cindy, our daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend, we love you and miss you. You will never be forgotten and will never be replaced in our hearts. Shine down from Heaven with Clayton in your arms, for peace is now with you.
