James Marsac

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Dave Marsac passed away suddenly with his wife at his side on Nov. 28, 2003, at his home in Kansas City.

He was born Dec. 17, 1954, to his parents, Neal and Verda Marsac in Panama City, Fla. Dave was a graduate of Billings West High School.

Dave was very proud of his son, Micheal, born of his marriage to Jamie Weatherwax. They were later divorced. Dave married Shirley Huff on Nov. 11, 2000. He really enjoyed being grandfather to Shirley's three grandchildren.

His first job after high school was at the old Billings Brick Yard. He worked as a laborer at Colstrip, the Billings Sheraton Hotel and at Decker and Gillette. He continued as a laborer and worked many big projects in Kansas City, including Sprint Headquarters, the Union Station renovation, and the World War II Memorial. He took pride in being a hard and honest worker. He has many lifelong friends. He was always cheerful and fun to be around.

Dave was a fine son, a loving husband, a great brother, and a good uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

He had a huge appetite for sports and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas City Royals, and of the Kansas University Basketball Team. He was well read, and enjoyed history, particularly Montana history.

Dave will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all who loved him, friends and family alike.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his son, Micheal; his parents, Neal and Verda; sisters, Virginia Knight (James), and Deborah Marsac (Greg); brothers, William Marsac (Paula), Jeffery Marsac (Christy), and Thomas Marsac (Kelly); and many cherished nieces and nephews.
