Sheryl Nagashima

Sheryl Nagashima

Sheryl Haruko Nagashima went home with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, after a brave battle with cancer. Born April 17, 1954, Sheryl lived her life as a quiet and private spirit who deeply loved her family and her pets. She never enjoyed attention drawn to her, and in honor of her wishes, the family will hold a private service at a later date.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Harry Rukstad; and brother Curtis Nagashima; nieces and nephews, Kellie (Eric) Young, Stacy (Jason) Jerrel, Michael Rukstad, Dawson (Heidi) Smith; and grandnephews and nieces, CJ and Hunter Rukstad, Quentin Morin, Kadin Lahti, Riciah, Akira, Campbell and Kage Smith, Cameron and Sarah Nagashima. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Charles Nagashima.

Our family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to Sheryl's friends and coworkers at the Bureau of Reclamation who faithfully displayed support and encouragement through their many cards and gifts. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Randall Gibb and Caroline Diegert, P.A., for the wisdom, care and kindness they extended and to all the nurses and staff at the Billings Clinic for the unending care and attention Sheryl received. God allowed us to see a glimpse of eternity as he ushered her homeward. We look forward to being reunited.
