Janet Ila Gurney (Hafner)
BILLINGS - Janet Ila Gurney (Hafner) was called home by our Lord and Savior on February 4, 2023.
There will be a memorial service for Janet at Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday; February 9th at 11:00. Visitation starts at 10:30 with a luncheon to follow in the basement. The church is located at 537 Grand Avenue, Billings, Montana.

Sorry to hear about Janet's passing. I met Janet when I first moved to Billings in 7th Grade and attended Trinity Lutheran School. We went to the same church and did a lot of things together at the church. She was always a good friend and easy to talk to and get along with.
May God grant His Peace and Comfort to her family and all her friends.

I am sorry I couldn't attend Janet's memorial service today. We were good friends and worked together at St V's for several years. I was an anesthesia tech and followed the Anesthesiologist from surgery to the recovery room where the patient was placed in Janet's skillful and loving care. She chose her career perfectly. As an RN Janet was not only kind and compassionate but devoted and dedicated to her work. We stayed in touch faithfully and attended many gatherings of friends, and OR colleagues keeping memories of our connections alive and fresh. Janet taught me how simple it was to just be kind and respectful, compassionate and caring. She will be missed in our next gathering of friends.
