Devra worked in the mining and petroleum industry. In 2010, Devra moved back to Billings, to accept a tax auditors position with GE, and also to care for her mother.

Devra was preceded in her death by her father, George and her sister, Lorrie Pies. Devra is survived by her spouse Betty Button of Butte; her mother, Ann; her brother and sister-in-law Dexter and Lynda Eaton, her sister and brother-in-law Toddy (Linda) and Gene Erlenbush all of Billings. Devra was an intelligent and loving person, who never failed to win a spot in everyone's heart. Her smile and laugh were contagious. Devra was also a passionate animal lover, who wished she could have saved any animal without a home.

Oh, no! Dev was one of my closest friends in school. She introduced me to peanut butter and banana sandwiches, we each had gotten a new winter coat and liked each other's better so we traded and loved our choice. When she signed my junior yearbook it was like a scavenger hunt to read the entire message. It is sad to read she is on our memory page instead of active classmates 😔
