BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Guy Alex Southward, 53, died Nov. 8, 2008, at his home in Broken Arrow, as a result of injuries sustained in a June accident.

Guy was born June 15, 1955, in Billings to Robert C. and Marjorie L. (Heyn) Southward. He was a graduate of Billings West High School, Class of 1973. He married Chris Howell in April 1976, and they moved to Casper, Wyo., in 1979, where their two children were born.

Guy worked for Centrilift in Casper and Claremore for several years. He eventually owned and operated a successful tractor service.

Guy enjoyed fishing, tropical fish and exotic pets. He was also a big Sooner booster.

He is survived by his son, Dallas Southward of San Francisco; his daughter, her husband and their unborn child, Michelle and Dave Fones of Tulsa, and two granddaughters. He is also survived by his sisters and their husbands, Claire and Jack Snyder of Billings, and Robin and Mike White of Reno, Nev.; four nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held in Billings next summer.
