In Memory

Dorothy Cazier (Nichols)

Dorothy Cazier (Nichols)

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - A beautiful spirit left the earth Feb. 9, 2006, and the heavens opened for Dorothy Mae "Dotty" Nichols, 51, Coeur d'Alene. Dotty was welcomed into this world on May 9, 1954, by Allen and Glenna (Twiss) Cazier.
She married her high school sweetheart, Curt Cline, in 1974, and their beautiful daughter Leslie was the gift of their union. In 1990, Dotty married Duane Nichols, who became the love and light of her life and together, they gave life to her son, Sean.
Leslie, Sean and her grandson Dallas were her most precious treasures, and she devoted her life to loving and nurturing them. Dotty also loved the glory of God's earth, from the mountains and streams to the vivid smells and color of flowers. She made her home amidst this beauty in the last years of her life. Dotty was an angel to any who needed her help and gave her love freely. She spent many hours donating her time and experiences to the NAMI Foundation. She loved her Savior and gave Him credit for all the good that happened in her life. She was a fragile flower in God's garden and her loss on this earth is immense.
She is survived by her son, Sean Nichols; daughter Leslie, grandson Dallas and future son-in-law Yuma Jackson of Lewiston, Idaho; her mother and stepfather, Glenna and Jim Conley of Sheridan, Wyo.; brothers, Doug Cazier of Laurel, Mont., and Darrell Cazier of Billings; sisters Diana Cook and husband David of Coeur d'Alene, Candice Braley of Sheridan; and special friend Sherry Hofferber-Sage. She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Cazier; and her former spouse, Duane Nichols.
The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Billings Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, at 2929 Belvedere Drive.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Nichols Memorial Trust Fund at Western Security Bank, PO Box 20555, Billings, MT 59104.

Dorothy was so nice, friendly and, it goes without saying, stunningly beautiful both inside and out.  The world lost a shining star.  I'm sad that she is gone.
